The mission of the Apnea Academy courses is to provide step-by-step support to all people interested in discovering free diving. From the first approach to freediving with the initiation workshops (this course differs from a standard snorkeling course, which covers relaxation and breathing techniques now included in modern free diving courses), to the highest level of the program, the Instructor course. Apnea Academy helps, at each stage, to identify one’s limits to safe underwater diving while maintaining the unsurpassed feeling that free diving provides.
Free Diving Workshop
The free diving workshops are aimed at people who want to try free diving to experience harmony with the underwater world.
Free Diving Workshop 1 day
You will receive theoretical classes, relaxation and breathing techniques, and a small class in the aquatic environment to introduce you to this exciting world. You will receive a diploma of attendance, photos and videos of your experience.
Free Diving Workshop 2 days
You will receive theoretical classes, static and dynamic tests in the pool, immersion in the sea, relaxation and breathing techniques.You will receive an attendance diploma, photos and videos of your experience.
Apnea Academy International Certified Courses
Each course consists of theory lessons, pool training, relaxation and breathing techniques and open water testing. Upon completion of the course and subject to favorable instructor evaluation, the student will be awarded a certificate from the Apnea Academy
1st Level AA
Apnea Academy First Level represents the first approach to free-diving with a complete basic equipment. The objective of the course is to reach controlled free-diving by applying relaxation and breathing techniques in order to reach following performances: 1’45” static apnea,30 m in dynamic and 8 m in depth.
2nd Level AA
Apnea Academy Second Level is to improve the relaxation and breathing techniques by taking advantage of the experience acquired in the first level in order to reach following performances: 2’30” in static,55 m dynamic and 15 m depth.
3rd Level AA
Apnea Academy Third Level is the highest award for a free diver. By a improvement of its ability to operate in the water, mental and technical training , the free diver will be able to reach 3′ static, 70 m dynamic and 25 m depth.
Instructor Assistant AA
This is the level before becoming instructor. Learn to manage a class of students by assisting a certified instructor during his classes. Once certified the assistant is allowed to teach by his own apnea discovery classes.
